Normally Pointer is right on point. He seemed to miss his mark on this one though. I blame the short penis and his constant attempt on trying to urinate on things he dislikes.
Very few will argue that the Israeli-Palestinian situation is not a complex maze of poor decisions made by the west and the east. Recent events point towards an Israeli attempt to achieve peace and Palestine's intolerance.
Israel used their own police to pull Jews from their homes after an Arab request to vacate the Gaza Strip. Two of the three most recent suicide bombers in Israel have been freed via prisoner exchange. The Old Temple, the holiest sight in all over Judaism was truned over to the PA and Jews are not allowed to visit the location. This was part of a peace agreement, the terms of which Israel has kept. As early as their birth of a nation, following the invasion of Israel by Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebenon, Israel has given, surrendering lands taken in defense of its existence back to its aggressors.
The PA, so riddled with corruption, has failed to create a viable infrastructure and provide for the Palestinian people. As a result a self proclaimed terror organization rose to power. This group openly advocated the killing of Jewish children to prevent the next generation of infidels. No doubt fueled by the West’s attacks on sovereign Middle Eastern gov'ts (ie: Iraq) without provocation.
The freeing of Israeli soldiers is the effort that the western media has concentrated on. The true reason for Israel's response to Lebanon is the consequence of 100s missiles being fired into Israel's civilian population everyday from Gaza and Southern Lebanon.
Do nations not have a right to defend their citizens? Has not Israel made more efforts to the Peace Accord then Palestine?
Israel is smaller then Pima County. Resources, natural and geographic, are spread evenly through the region. Yet Israel is blamed for attempting to prosper, why Palestine takes an underdog plea to the world.
On point; Hezbollah was founded in 1982 by a man named Husayn al-Musawi, a Shiite. He converged al-Da’wa, or “The Call”, with an already present terror movement known as Islamic Amal. The Call was the result of Lebanese Shiite clerics studying in southern Iraq under clerics who were involved Khomeini’s Iranian revolution. The Call became Hezbollah under Islamic Amal. In Nov 1982 Amal took over a Lebanese army barracks and called to Iran to create a base of underground operations at the site. The PLO’s involvement came later. Since the 1985 Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, Hezbollah has been responsible for 4,000 rocket attacks on Israeli civilian population. From 1985- 2004 Israel has lost 10-30 soldiers per year fighting Hezbollah on the Israeli-Lebanese border.
At what point does was become justified? How do you defend yourself against an enemy the uses violence unequivocally?
I agree the founding of Israel is controversial and done with little concern for the situation on the ground. But in totality, Israel has made far greater efforts to maintain peace and attempt solution to deal with the current state of affair. What is you solution? Dissolve Israel? Open borders so suicide bombers can roam the streets of Israel’s cities?
To call Israel “Nazis” is just ignorant shock speech and I would expect pointer to be a better breed. The Nazis kidnapped 12 million Jews from their homes. Loaded 8 million of them into gas chambers and disposed of their bodies in ovens. They openly called for the “extermination of all Jews”. They also killed homosexuals, blacks, Catholics, disabled persons. Soviet soldiers who had been taken prisoner had been deliberately starved to death. Of the 5,170,000 soldiers captured by the Germans, only 1,053,000 survived. Do you compare the actions of Israel to these of Nazi Germany?
I know pointer is a pacifist, an idealist who recognizes no reason for the use of violence. A commendable trait. But he strayed from the yard in his recent post.
